Keysight 3458A 8.5-Digit High-Performance Digital Multimeter

The Keysight 3458A is an 8½-digit high-performance digital multimeter and a long-standing reference standard for precision DC measurement, with up to 8 ppm one-year DCV accuracy (4 ppm with Option 002).

What keeps it in service after decades is an unusual pairing: metrology-grade accuracy together with reading rates fast enough for production use. Most instruments give you one or the other, which is why the 3458A ended up as the transfer standard in a large number of calibration labs.
